HEBRIDEAN SURF

19.10.2018

What a joy to work on these special commission earrings. Kev and Fee surf on the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Outer Hebrides a lot. Kev got in touch to request a special design for their wedding anniversary and Fee's birthday. The 18ct white gold is mesmirising and looks so different depending on the angle of light. Happy celebrations soul surfers!

BEN VORLICH + STUC A CHROIN

23.7.2018

I love working on special commissions. This is a depiction of "hill of the bay" and "peak of the sheepfold" in the southern Scottish highlands and the place where he asked her to marry him a few years ago. 💕 Such a thoughtful birthday gift, designed by hubby.

A WEE INTERVIEW IN I-ON MAG

30.6.2018

A wee casual chit chat with @ion_magazine in this month's issue - A Guide For Grown-Ups. Thanks for the air time i-on and for highlighting my love of flat whites. Hit the button bellow for full story...

HIS SPECIAL NAME FOR HER

5.7.2018

While I'm a strong believer in us all being children of the universe and ultimately bound to nature's cycles and endless beauty... there are two people I know who embody a spiritual kind of love and life so strongly that I can't help but think they are special. They got married last weekend and I was honoured to make their rings, the perfect circle symbol of everlasting love with no beginning and no end. His 22ct gold with his special name for her engraved inside the band, hers in 18ct gold, both custom fit for a perfect match.

THE MOST ROMANTIC PROPOSAL...

30.5.2018

It doesn't get much better than one of your favourite pals asks you to make an engagement ring for one of your favourite gals. A view from a special place of the mountain upon which he proposed at sunrise. Here's to the most awesome adventure couple we know. If ever a pair were made for each other!

LORNA & JOHN - MARRIED IN THE MOUNTAINS

18.8.2017

Lorna & John designed a very special symbol to represent their family mountain. This unique and precious design was translated into sterling silver necklaces and cufflinks to share with each of their closest friends and family during their magical mountain wedding in Chamonix, France. Organisation of which was helped along by international wedding planners Haute Wedding who specialize in luxury destination weddings throughout France, from the Alps to the Riviera. Oo la la!

SCOTTISH BOYS IN CANADA

11.8.2017

What better wedding gift from one brother to another than a custom handmade kilt pin? Scottish boys who may be living in BC, Canada but who carry on the traditions of the homeland! Horray for men in kilts!

ELEANOR & BRYCE - CREAR BEACH WEDDING

16.6.2017

The sea of love ♡ MASSIVE thanks to the lovely ladies at Crear Weddings who collected shells from the west coast beach overlooking the isles of Islay, Jura and Gigha where Eleanor and Bryce get married today. A beautiful little shell was selected and cast in solid silver to create unique pendants for Els & Bryce's most loved ladies. A precious keepsake from a very special place.

WOMEN IN THE BACKCOUNTRY

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: Shred!

28.2.2020

So excited to be supporting International Women's Day Snowsports Touring on Cairngorm Mountain on the 9th March this year. Part of the AVIEMORE ADVENTURE FESTIVAL 2017, in Association with Scottish Backcountry and Front Point Adventure. After being part of last year's unofficial IWDST, it is my absolute pleasure to donate a mountain necklace to be won by one of a group of female backcountry skiers and snowboarders. The day is intended to encourage and support female participation in snowsports touring. What's not to love?

ECO EM BOSS: The New Boxes Arrive!

8.2.2017

Happy to announce the arrival of the new eco boxes, blind embossed with The Third Aye logo. Having deliberated long and hard over "sand", "matt brown" or "kraft" and the question to ink or not to ink, I have come to this conclusion of low impact, simple yet, I hope you will agree, stylish packaging for my customers. Embossed on the underside with an "eco friendly" label and inside you will find the box certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) stamp. Who said eco friendly had to be ugly?

LOGO: The Third Aye Squared

20.1.2017

With a little help from my good pal at Mr. Buckley Interiors, The Third Aye has a brand new logo. If there is a man who is dedicated to style and design, it's this guy. Check out his insta page on the link below. Keeping the logo clean and simple, I'll save the complex design for the jewellery. Next up... some packaging!
